What is the social science behind women from foreign countries posting their profile for international dating?

This is a very open-ended question. I am particularly interested in Chinese women posting their info for international dating (not necessarily mail-order bride, but possibly). What drives them to do it? Are they generally happier after they come to the USA? What is the divorce rate? I am interested in reading anything to find out more about this in order to “get in the heads” of these foreign women.
